Appears to be based on many of the comments on this site that some people may have expected too much from a movie like Napoleon Dynamite.This not an art film, friends. Its absurd humor. Do not go see this movie looks deeper meaning or well-constructed plot - the vague appearance of a frame is as artificial as they come, and appears to be inserted mainly to give the film's structure and allow the audience a happy ending. NO, Napoleon Dynamite is not to change the world - its direct action South Park (Preston, Idaho, where the film is set, has a very strong resemblance to the real South Park, Colorado). It 's very ironic, self-deprecating, strip unforgiving view of jokes and one liners with no apparent purpose other than to get laughs at the expense of its main characters, especially the Napoleon of the same name, suitable stand-in for all whos ever felt like socially inept outcast trapped in 'Hell film high school.This is not for everyone, but if you do not see glimpses of your childhood in various blunders and failures of the main characters, you're in denial. I do not see Napoleon Dynamite if you're feeling expected - go see if you're pissed off at the world and that they only laugh. I saw it for the first time last night, and I'm still busting into spontaneous laughter every time one of Napoleons stupid jokes or a white-faced dead-pan not sequitirs comes to mind.
