Review:
Yes, that's all you hear correctly. The score is a part of pop culture. The domestic conflict is well-known. But nothing shocks like the experience itself. If you have not seen this movie, do yourself a favor. Stop reading thse comments, get up, take a shower, then go to this movie. Buy it, they do not hire. You will not regret it.Psycho is simply the best horror-thriller of all time. Nothing even close ... maybe Les Diaboliques (1955), but has no really.Psycho you will ever find one of the best scripts in the film. The films only flaw is that one of the characters to be a little motivation in the first act of the film seems to have, but progresses as the story, you realize that Hitchcock (GENIUS! GENIUS! GENIUS!) In a stroke of genius did it deliberately, because is another character whose motives are even more important. Crucial. So it's important that you completely forget about anything else. I was fortunate to have spent my life wisely avoided any discussion of the plot of the film until I see the situation, it was full. Thank God I did! The film has probably the best mid-climatic plot point and twist in a thriller story, and certainly the best director-end. The last shots are chilling and leave creeping horror in the audience as well the writing is Hitchcock's direction so outstanding that it defies explanation is mind.Just. Suffice it to say that this film is probably the best work as a director of film historys best director. I was lucky enough to see this movie great movie oldtime house while Hitchcock revival. Janet Leigh, more radiant, spoke before the film and explained how Hitchcock genius in its ability to 1) without Gore scare and 2) leave their indelible mark on the film, without a shadow of actors (such as could never make a great Jean Renoir) was. Psychoanalysis is clearly his appearance, not his trademark disappoint despite all the big name talent involved.Hitchcock by omitting black humor. Its brightness is making climax at the same time is scary and hilarious. When I saw it in the theater, the audience were both gasping in disbelief falling-on-the-floor laughing. One more thing ... Tony Perkins. Janet Leigh was well-deserved awards for this film, but it is Perkins, who gives what remains the single best performance by an actor in a horror movie. He is so unobtrusive that its brilliance drives past you. He becomes the character. The pure brilliance of the list is (dear God, do stop!) For the inability of the actors in Gus Van Sant the 1998 shot-for-shot remake occupied. Although the films are almost identical, Hitchcock is higher mainly because of the action and atmosphere (some of the creepiness with color lost). This is evident by the initial conversation between Perkins and Leigh's character, a key scene. The brightness of Perkins in the original shine even brighter in comparison with the destruction in the new version, but the words and the images were exactly the same. The crucial chemistry in this scene is missing in the new version is all gone and Mars our understanding of the events. The fact that Perkins never escape this role - his star star whistle as it was done in the 50 - proves that he played the role well.I think maybe the word brilliant, but I can not more hinwegtä cottage, my enthusiasm for this this film. It is quite different from the overblown, overbudget for long fluff spits too often in Hollywood today. Psycho is a simple, well made and just the right length.Eleven-and-a-half out of ten stars.
