Review:
I went along with the movie really do not want to see this movie, thinking it was girly movie that had more technical skill rather than a story. I was surprised more than anything I could imagine. I saw a lot of movies in my time, but this movie took me by storm. Its uniqueness, ironically, because it was based on a real life situation was refreshing change from the usual Hollywood box office. This film provided a brilliant (pardon the pun) an understanding of many aspects of a genius at work. This movie touched me on many levels. The psychology of the movie was very interesting, the philosophies of mathematics was very realistic from my own experience, and the icing on the cake making the film stand out was surprisingly the humanist side of Love. While love is common ground in most films, the interaction of this issue with other aspects of the plot was planned phenomenlly. As for the cast, I never noticed any real difference in ability between many actors / actresses before. I like Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, etc., but I would not be able to make the classical actors act. But Russell Crowe in the movie showed me how to act in a way where I was amazed by his skill in playing this character, especially considering the extreme difference of character in his other films like Gladiator and The Insider. Russell Crowe was one of the main reasons why this movie was so bright. Added to that the stellar performances of Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris and Adam Goldberg, and it made for the perfect movie. A Beautiful Mind movie was by far the most original, clever and fun that I've ever seen. And this from a movie I did not expect great things. Kudos to Ron Howard, the cast and crew of the film. It was really worthy of an Oscar, and Russell Crowe was definitely the most deserving team produçãoa lose the highest recognition. Perhaps politics played a larger role than I had previously thought.
